Celebrating Mother's Day

It's Mother's day week and we thought it might be a great time to celebrate motherhood.  Everyone involved with My Sazzy Girl is a mother and some of us are even grandmothers.  The one thing we have noticed, about the mother's we know, is that they find it very hard to take care of themselves! Most moms put everyone else in front of them.  Well we want you to take this week and try something new.  

Instead of spending every second thinking about your kids’ next baseball game, or what to make for dinner this week, take a few moments to mentally focus on yourself.  Have some alone time!

You may not know this, but it will help improve your creativity and productivity.  Who couldn't use a little more of that great stuff?  If you sit down and really think about a situation, you might come up with a great solution.  

Taking time to be alone for a little bit can destress your life a bit.  Excess stress can be linked to diabetes, depression and heart disease.  

Now how do we get this alone time.  Ask a friend or family member to hang out with the kiddos while you lock yourself away in your room or take a nature walk.  It doesn't have to be long and can really change your day, your week, your month and your year.  Ladies take some time for yourself this week and beyond because ultimately if you take care of yourself you take better care of your family.
